New Resources

It has been a great week seeing some of the houses kick off their new challenges. Thank you for inviting me in and letting me participate with you all!

As Spring is approaching, and we are challenging our learners to analyze their reading. I came across this interactive website for ALL GRADES - readtheory.com that would support assessing your learners' reading comprehension.

You can plug in your learners, assign them passages with questions at the end, and it graphs their growth. It will also alter their assignments and quizzes to whatever TEK they are struggling on. I would love to set up your class for you, and have you try it out if you are interested! Just let me know. :)

We have gotten many of the resources we requested in this week. Previously mentioned before, each house is getting a Fraction Number Talks book. Please book me to plan with you and kick off a fraction, decimal, or percentage number talk!

We also received more "Step up to the TEKS". We have these for grades 2-5, and they are great for small group instruction/tutoring/preparing for STAAR.

Finally, we have added the complete set of Developing Number Concepts. These resources are great for ANY grade for ANY learner. This resource could be used for data points for RTI, too!

I would love to work with you on digging through any of these resources and incorporate them into your instruction! Please continue to book me. I will be out on Thursday at Math Academy, but I look forward to sharing our learning with you all when we return!
