Kick off Spring with updates from K-5 Literacy, Apple, ADI & Discovery Ed.!
The past two weeks have been full of learning! (K-5 Literacy, Apple, Discovery Education, and ADI.) This week is a busy week with Open House and Fun Run- so what better way to start after Spring Break with new ideas to use in your space!?
Want to start or tweak book clubs in your space?
-After looking through my 3-5 Literacy Academy notes, if there is a particular part you would like more support in, I would be happy to walk you through these notes. It was a great learning day, and I want to share more in detail with you if you are interested! If you already have book clubs going or about to start, please let me know how I can support you!!
Want to start Poetry Talks in your space?
- We learned about Poetry Talks in Literacy Academy and what that looks like on a daily basis. Book me to show your class what this looks like or just plan one out with you! K-2 Literacy Academy went over Grammar Talks, if you would like more support in this or want to see one in action over a course of a week- book me. :)
Want to make your Guided Reading more purposeful?
- K-2 Literacy Academy shared many resources that could help drive your ELAR block. Check out Slide 27 - it has many helpful resources to ensure you and your learners' time is being spent meaningful during guided reading. Book me to go through these resources or come model how it could be used in guided reading.
Want to utilize the badges you are earning for Apple Teacher in your space?
-After the Apple Training, I worked a lot with Priscilla and her learners on Keynote and Numbers. We did a lesson on Data Analysis using Keynote; here are the instructions she gave her learners if you wish to try out with your class! Her learners easily picked it up- and were very engaged in the format of these apps. These apps aren't just user friendly for upper grades- Megan Schlossstein has done an incredible job embedding keynote for her kinder learners' products. So, any grade can learn and utilize these in their learning- - I would love to come plan a lesson with you using one of these, and co teach it with your class!
Want to co-plan an ADI Science Lesson together?
- Here are my notes from our Science Argument Driven Inquiry training. Even though, we have only had training in grades 4 and 5, I feel confident I can plan with you an ADI experience for your learners. So book me! :)
Want your learners to utilize Discovery Education more in your space?
- Here are my notes from our training this week, if there was something you want to dig into more or show your learners how to use. Please Book me! :)
As always, please, please, book me for any of these things or for anything at all. I love being in your spaces, with your learners, and working with each of yall!! Have a wonderful Spring Break!
