Connect your learners' learning Globally through PenPal Schools!

PenPal Schools connects learners around the world to learn together through online projects that are aligned with our learning standards. It is intended for ages 8 and up.

The website has each learner go through a survey, matches them up with up to 4 PenPals, and then the PenPals collaborate on a lesson together. PenPal projects range anywhere from 1 week to 6 weeks long, cover a variety of topics for different subject areas, are available at three different learning levels, and are academically aligned. Learners log in at least once a week to complete the weekly lesson, and designers should monitor and assess student work from their Teacher Dashboard.

You can view their conversations and report any inappropriate content to get it taken off. This would be a great time to go over Digital Citizenship! PenPal Schools makes learning relevant, authentic, and engaging! This website would be a great guiding activity for many of the houses' current Big Ideas! Priscilla has already started using this resource, and she said it has been very engaging for her kids!!
